FocalGraph Signal for Claude
Ask Claude about your dealership's website in plain English. The connector reads your Google Analytics 4 property and your FocalGraph Signal verified-household data, so Claude can answer with your real numbers.
Before you start
- A FocalGraph Signal account with Google Analytics connected. It's free: sign up with Google. Free accounts get a quick review by our team before the Google Analytics tools turn on.
- The verified-household tools need a paid FocalGraph Signal plan. Without one, those tools tell you how to upgrade instead of answering.
- A Claude plan that supports connectors.
Set it up
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors. Find FocalGraph Signal in the directory, or choose Add custom connector and paste this URL: https://signal.focalgraph.com/mcp
- Click Connect. Claude opens the FocalGraph Signal sign-in page. Sign in with the Google account you use for FocalGraph Signal, or with your email and password.
- Review the consent screen. It lists every store the connector will be able to read. Click Allow.
- Back in Claude, ask a question. Claude calls the connector when your question needs your data.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to add the connector for your organization first.
One connection, every store
The connector covers every store your login can see. A dealer group can ask about one rooftop or compare several in the same conversation. If you have more than one store, Claude asks the List stores tool first and then names the store on each question. You can also name it yourself: "How did traffic at Westside Honda change this month?"
Other industries
Signal also works for RV, powersports, marine, furniture, and home services businesses. For those stores the connector grades your site against Google's recommended GA4 events instead of the automotive standard: Event completeness and Event reference take the place of the ASC tools, and Unit performance (RV, powersports, marine) or Product performance (furniture) takes the place of vehicle performance. A login with stores in more than one industry gets each store's own tools; Claude names the store and the connector answers for that store's industry.
Things to ask
- "Which traffic sources sent the most sessions in the last 28 days, and how did they convert?"
- "Run an ASC completeness check. Which standard events are we missing?"
- "Audit our key events. Is anything marked as a key event that shouldn't be?"
- "Which landing pages keep visitors engaged, and which lose them?"
- "How is paid search doing compared with last month?"
- "Which sources send verified households, and at what rate?" (paid plan)
- "Which ZIP codes do our verified households come from?" (paid plan)

Changes to your Google Analytics
Fix key events is the only tool that changes anything. It marks or unmarks key events in your Google Analytics property, and only the ones the key event audit flags. Three safeguards:
- It's off until a store owner turns on Allow Claude to make changes on the store's page in FocalGraph Signal.
- Claude first shows you the exact plan. Nothing changes until you approve it.
- It can't touch anything outside the audit's list. Other changes are yours to make in Google Analytics.
Your data
- Tools return aggregate numbers: counts, rates, sources, pages and ZIP-level totals. No names, emails, phone numbers or household-level records are sent to Claude.
- The connector reads Google Analytics with the access you granted when you connected it to FocalGraph Signal.
- We log which tools are called, for usage reporting. Request a capability saves the question you asked so our team can review it. We don't store your other conversations with Claude.
- Read the privacy policy and terms.
Disconnect
Remove the connector in Claude's Settings, then Connectors. To revoke its access on our side too, sign in to FocalGraph Signal and open Connected apps. Changing your password also signs out every connected app.
Troubleshooting
- "Google Analytics isn't connected": connect GA4 on the store's page in FocalGraph Signal, then ask again.
- "Needs a paid plan": the verified-household tools need a paid FocalGraph Signal plan on that store. The message includes the upgrade link.
- A store is missing: the connector sees the stores on your login. Ask your account owner to add you to the store. It shows up on your next question, no reconnect needed.
- Sign-in loops or fails: remove the connector in Claude and add it again.
